The episode opens with another flash-forward similar to that of Season 5's premiere, it shows a scruffy looking Walt walking in to his house which is looking worse for wear. In his house he sees the word 'HEISENBURG' sprayed along the wall. He has returned to his house to pick up the infamous Ricin poison. It's a great opener to a great series and really gets us thinking of what he is going to do with the obscure poison.
Meanwhile Jesse continues to suffer the guilt over the death Drew Sharp, the young boy killed by Todd in the train heist. He enlists the help of Saul to help him get rid of the money he had earned in his role on Walt's drug empire, he insists on donating the money to Mike's grandaughter Kailey and the family of Drew Sharp. However Saul informs Walt who intervenes. The scene in which Walt blatantly lies to Jesse about the state of Mike perfectly shows how well Walt manipulates and deceives Jesse and shows how sinister Walt has got.
A running theme throughout the episode is that Walt's cancer is indeed returning which is sure to become a very important plot device in later episodes.
The big plot point though is Walt's discovery of a bug on his car, Walt eventually puts two and two together and discovers that Hank's illness may not be coincidental. In an intense scene Walt confronts Hank about the bug, in which a physical confrontation ensues as Hank accuses Walt of being Heisenburg and slowly lists off the amount of crimes Walt has pulled off. Walt obviously strongly denies these accusations, but in a surprising amount of violence against Hank advises him 'to tread lightly'.
Blood Money sets up the final 8 episodes in extraordinary fashion, next Sunday cannot come soon enough.
