Top 7 Amazing Video Games We'll Never Get To Play

7.  S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2

The horror shooter sequel to the fantastic S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl was cancelled after a number of delays. The few details and screenshots we had of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 had us eagerly anticipating a return to the bleak post-apocalyptic universe

6. The Lord of the Rings: The White Council

Announced all the way back in 2006 Lord of the Rings: The White Council was intended to be EA's answer to Bethesda's popular Elder Scrolls series. The game would see you explore the whole of Middle-Earth as either man, elf, dwarf or hobbit a whole lifetime before the War of the Ring, in hopes of becoming a hero allied with The White Council, which has Gandalf, Saruman and Elrond among it's members. Sadly work on The White Council was suspended in 2007 and no more information has been given about the game since.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned

Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned was an open world pirate adventure with an emphasis on RPG elements, real time combat and customisable weapons. The game would have an independent story from the popular film series and would follow pirate captain James Sterling who's mission was to sail across the Caribbean Sea and make a reputation for himself. Early reception to the game was positive which made it all the worse when in 2010 Disney announced it was 'changing directions'.

4. The Outsider

Originally scheduled to release in 2009 The Outsider was an action-stealth game casting players as a CIA agent named Jameson who has been framed for a crime. Players must use every skill available to navigate the capital Washington D.C and find the truth. The capital city and it's surrounding areas were created faithfully giving players a realistic city to sneak and kill through.

3. Star Wars 1313

People were excited when Star Wars 1313 was announced at E3 2012. A gritty third person shooter where instead of using a lightsaber or the force you used a gun. The game would see the player take the role of a bounty hunter navigating the underworld of Level 1313 on the planet of Coruscant. The game looked to be a next generation title and played very similar to the Uncharted series. Unfortunately after Disney acquired Lucas Arts development on the game was on hold, when Disney eventually closed down Lucas Arts development on the game was abandoned an the game was cancelled.

2. Agent

Announced way back in 2007 Agent is being developed by Rockstar and an exclusive to the Playstation 3. An open world stealth game set during the Cold War the game seems like a mash up between Metal Gear Solid and Grand Theft Auto. All we've seen of the game is 4 screenshots. Rockstar haven't even mentioned the game since 2009, which means although it hasn't been confirmed that Agent is cancelled it is highly likely it will never see the light of day.

1. The Last Guardian

The elusive Last Guardian was announced in 2009 but has been delayed several times. The game is the third from the talented Team Ico, who made the PS2 classics Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. The game centres around a boy trapped in a mysterious castle who befriends a giant feathered creature named Trico. Despite constant reassurance from Sony that the game is not cancelled, the departure of Team Ico founder Fumito Ueda doesn't suggest good things for the game.
