Sony still making The Last Guardian

Team Ico's elusive The Last Guardian is still in development according to SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida.

The Playstation 3 exclusive was announced all the way back at E3 2009, but little has been seen of the game since.

Yoshida was asked about the status of the game at Gamescom, to which he responded "Yeah we are still making it... So we are still waiting for the right time to announce it. To re-announce it."

He was then asked about the possibility of the game appearing on PS4. He said "So, we have decided not to discuss this yet."

The Last Guardian is the third game from Team Ico, who made the PS2 classics Ico and Shadow of the Collusus. The game has had numerous delays and was rumoured to be cancelled after creative director Fumito Ueda left Sony.
